Heather and North Face of Mt. Shuksan
Soaring above the North Fork of the Nooksack River, the North Face of Mt.Shuksan in North Cascade National Park is one of the most impressive alpine walls in the United States, yet its remote location and inaccessibility have left it virtually unknown. Price Glacier Icefall is in the center of this view, the Nooksack Tower just left of center. Understating a little, if this spot were accessed by a paved road or even a primitive footpath, the North Face of Mt. Shuksan would be photographed more often. Photographed on 4x5.
